TEDxSeeds 2010

越游 A Time To Fly Deep ~ we are opening the new door that are next for the future ~

On November 20th, 2010, TEDxSeeds 2010 Conference was held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse under the bright blue sky, with the participation of Japan’s most elegant pelagic cruse ship “Asuka.” The 12-hour parley that fostered the “exchange of ideas and seeds” involved superb talks from 12 speakers, the meeting and fusion of inquisitiveness and energy brought by more than 200 participants. Thank you so much for joining us. Under the theme of "A Time to Fly Deep", TEDxSeeds participants enjoyed a total of four sessions: "Reconnect", "Door to Creativity", "Dialogue with the Earth", and " Close Encounters of the Third Kind: The Next Chapter.” We would like to express our gratitude to the speakers, who represented various genres from science to culture to art, and to all the supporters and sponsors for their cooperative understating that allowed us to hold our second TEDxSeeds Conference. TEDxSeeds is only a small boat that finally started sailing. However, we hope to eventually become an extraordinary ship that continues to send Japan’s cutting-edge information across the globe, and ultimately promote world development buoyed by the wind of our participants’ wisdom, ideas, and burning passion. Every TEDxSeeds attendee, all the audience who watched our live footage, and all the viewers who are spreading information through our website, is a seed. Every communication that was made in the process is a seed as well. From this small boat, we would like to join hands and work forward to become a communicational arena that will produce and raise new seeds. We sincerely express our gratitude for all the support and cooperation that made TEDxSeeds 2010 Conference possible. Thank you! Unfortunately, we were unable to invite some of the conference applicants due to the limited capacity of the venue. We will be holding our next TEDxSeeds conference on October 22nd, 2011, so please stay on board with us and keep your hopes up. TEDxSeeds 2009

“Redifinition”, “Passion & Compassion” and “Beyond Creation”

On December 12, 2009, TEDxSeeds launched its first conference in Tessenkai Noh Theater in Aoyama, Tokyo. The thunderstorm from the night before had ceased, and the conference day saw the great sunny sky called “Japan Glorius Weather.” The seats were filled with over 130 intellectually-curious audiences from all over Japan. On stage, speakers showed innovative talks and live performances that tell depth and width of Japanese culture.Although entire programs were managed by the newly organized TEDxSeeds team, thanks to the support of speakers, audiences, and everyone involved, our virgin fight was safely landed to the destination. We wish, touching moments and excitements shared over the 3 sessions of "Re-definition", "Passion & Compassion" and "Beyond Creation", and SEEDS ART NIGHT after conference would widely spread to more and more people from our participants. We also hope that this TEDxSeeds conference would be the place of “communication arena” for everyone. "Being an arena and a bed of new seeds for the future, with ideas from Japan and the world, regardless aged ones or news". Keeping this founding ambition in our minds, we will go forward. Your voluntary ideas and zeals are always welcomed. We are very sorry for not be able to accommodate all the persons who wished to attend to our conference due to the capacity limits at the thatere. We hope to welcome you for a next TEDxSeeds Conference in Autumn 2010. Thank you very much for your deep interests and understandings. We sincerely express our gratitude to all the supports and cooperations to us on creating TEDxSeeds 2009.We do look forward to seeing you in 2010 again. Thank you!
